Eastern Florida State Women’s Soccer Signs First Recruits For 2015

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –– Eastern Florida women’s soccer head coach Jeff Carr has announced the signing of his first three recruits for the 2015 season.

They are:

● Julia Hernandez, a forward and attacking midfielder from Madrid, Spain who has trained with the Spain U16 and U17 National Teams.

“Julia is a very crafty, creative player we hope leads our attack this year,” Carr said. “We are very excited for Julia to come and play for the Titans this fall.”

● Bethany Louise Cooper, a striker from Broadstairs (Thanet) England who has played for numerous clubs in England.

“Bethany has played at a high level,” Carr said. “She plays with a lot of pace and puts the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis.

“We are looking forward to Beth joining our team this fall and adding to our success.”

● Annie Power, a forward/wing from Nottinghamshire, England.

“Annie plays at a very rapid, great pace,” Carr said.

“She is a true left footer who has received many individual awards and team awards.

“She played at a very high standard. We are looking forward to Annie joining our squad this fall and adding to our program and hopefully our success.”

The Titans made their third consecutive NJCAA Women’s Division I National Championship tournament appearance in 2014, reaching the semifinal round. They finished with a 13-1-2 record, giving Carr his 50th victory at Eastern Florida.

The women were 6-0-2 at home and won their fourth straight NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA championship.
