BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The District 22 Tournament of Champions continued over at Port St. John’s Space Coast Communities Sports Complex, where there were two games in the Major baseball division.

 

Mims Little League met Indian River City Little League. For Mims, H. Blake hit a Grand Slam.

But, it wasn’t enough as Indian River City’s M. Wiirre and E. Burns hit solo home runs while S. Woodward hit a solo home run, a 2-run homer and a 1-run walk-off double which scored B. Guthrie in the 5th to cap off Indian River City’s 16-6 win in 5 innings.

In other Major baseball action, Rockledge Little League (visitor) went into the 7th inning tied at 2 after Space Coast Little League’s A. Pryzgoda hit a solo homer in the 6th.

In the bottom of the 7th, Space Coast’s L. Walker hit a walk-off double scoring P. Hathway for a 3-2 win.

Over in Junior baseball at Space Coast Communities Sports Complex, Port St. John Little League’s (visitor) fell to Indian River City Little League, 6-1 in 6 1/2 innings.

For Indian River City, Buehlman went 2-for-3 with a double, Leeds went 2-for-4 with a double, and J. Smith hit a home run.

In the other Junior baseball game, North Merritt Island Little League got a home run from K. Anderson. Rockledge Little League’s J. Brewer stole home, but it wasn’t enough as North Merritt Island went on to a 16-6 win 7 innings.
