Florida District 22 All-Stars got underway tonight with Port St. John LL (visitors) meeting Mims LL in the 9 & 10 year old baseball pool at Cocoa Little League’s Stradley Park.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida District 22 All-Stars got underway tonight with Port St. John LL (visitors) meeting Mims LL in the 9 & 10 year old baseball pool at Cocoa Little League’s Stradley Park.

 

Jason Loeffler had a 2-RBI double for Port St. John, but they were bested by Mims in the 4-2 game that went 5 1/2 innings.

In the other 9 & 10 year old pool over at Rockledge Little League’s McLarty Park, Indian River City Little League (visitors) fell to Merritt Island Little League in a 19-2 game that ended in 3 1/2 innings.

The 10 & 11 year old baseball tournament is taking place at Merritt Island Little League’s MILA fields. In tonight’s game, Port St. John Little League’s (visitors) Jason Alati had a RBI-double and Logan Lynch added a RBI while Jason Alati struck out 3 Merritt Island batters.

However, Merritt Island’s Gage Garcia hit a 3-run homer and Meric Collins, Tyler Coutu and Aidan Hart had doubles, while Bobby Ives added 2 RBIs and struck out 5 Port St. John batters as Merritt Island won 5-3 in 5 1/2 innings.

Meanwhile, over at North Merritt Island Little League’s Mitchell Ellington Park, Port St. John Little League (visitors) met North Merritt Island Little League.

Calvin Blackmon had a homer for North Merritt Island as they went into the 8 inning tied at 5. But, Port St. John’s Ritchie Leonard and Austin Chapman each had home runs in their 12-run 8th to lift Port St. John to a 17-5 victory.
