BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The District 22 Tournament continued to wind down Wednesday night as Merritt Island Little League met Space Coast Little League in the Major baseball Final.
Merritt Island’s T. Goforth pitched 5 2/3 innings allowing only three hits and one run in Merritt Island’s 4-1 victory over Space Coast.
Merritt Island claimed the Championship with a 4-0 record in tournament play.
In the last Junior’s game, Mims LL’S D. Woodruff went on to pitch the entire game and H. Layne went 3-for-4 at the plate scoring three runs in leading Mims’ to a dominating 19-4 victory.
Meanwhile, Senior baseball got underway between Port St. John and North Merritt Island.
North Merritt Island’s A. Steinmetz went 3-for-3 at the plate and plated three runs as North Merritt Island claimed the victory 16-3.
