BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for Brevard County water customers in the Barefoot Bay and Snug Harbor subdivisions.

Brevard County Utilities Services crews have been working since Friday night to repair a water main break in the Barefoot Bay Subdivision.

As a precaution, residents in Barefoot Bay and Snug Harbor subdivisions should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes until further notice.

Boiling water for one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

The precautionary notice remains in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink.
