VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA – Matthew Gromlovits, 28, of Rockledge was seriously injured in a three vehicle crash on I-95 Saturday at 4:05 a.m. in Volusia County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the chain of events that caused the crash remain under investigation, and troopers are looking for witnesses.

Preliminary information shows that Robert Tarczynski, 70, of Atlantic Beach, who was driving a semi truck, crashed into the guardrail and overturned.

According to FHP, Tarczynski ‘s cab stayed on the guardrail and the trailer partially blocked the southbound lanes of I-95.

It remains under investigation as to when Tarczynski and Gromlovits, who was driving a  1994 Saturn, made contact with each other.

Jude Lormejuste, 31, of Lantana struck the semi truck after it overturned and was blocking the lanes.

Gromlovits was taken to Halifax Medical Center with serious injuries.  Tarczynski and Lormejuste received minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, according to FHP.
