BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Agents with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Sexual Offender registration and Tracking (SORT) Unit have arrested 50-year-old Joseph Mila of Rockledge for soliciting the parent of a minor child for the purposes of having sexual relations with the child, according to Major Tod Goodyear of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation began on Friday, June 5 after Mila began communicating via the Internet with an undercover agent who was posing as the parent of a 13-year-old child.
Mila originally responded to an online posting and as the communication continued, Mila advised that he wished to meet with the agent for the purpose of having a sexual relationship with the agent’s fictitious child.
A meeting was arranged at a prearranged location in Brevard County and Mila was arrested after traveling from his residence in Rockledge to the location later that afternoon.
