MIAMI, FLORIDA – Jeb Bush announced Monday his candidacy for the President of the United States in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd of family, friends and supporters.

“Our country is on a very bad course,” said Bush.

“And the question is: What are we going to do about it? The question for me is: What am I going to do about it? And I have decided,” Bush said at Miami Dade College’s Kendall campus.

“I am a candidate for president of the United States.”

Bush, 62, served two terms as the governor of Florida and stressed his experience among a host of GOP hopefuls expected to compete in next year’s primaries.

Cheered on by a crowd of several thousand people, Bush stressed his commitment to winning the 2016 Republican nomination.
