Thankful To Share Father's Day With His Children

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Channing Taylor, who was shot last Sunday night in Brevard County, issued a statement of thanks to all of the people that have helped him through this life changing event. 

He is still out recovering from being shot in the shoulder.

“I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who helped me after I was shot last weekend,” said Lt. Channing.

“Thank you to the troopers that came to back me up so quickly. To the Brevard County Fire Rescue firefighters, paramedics, and to First Flight that responded to get me safely to the hospital.

“To the wonderful doctors and nurses that took care of me at Holmes Regional Medical Center – thank you. Thank you to the Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies that assisted at the scene and continued to help afterwards. Thanks to all the people that have called and sent e-mails. I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to reach out to me.

“Thank you to my family, as they have not only supported me through this life changing incident, but for the last 20 years of my career. I am thankful to be able to celebrate Father’s day with my children on Sunday.”
