TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Today, Commissioner of Education joined in festivities in Florida’s capital city to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

“The Americans with Disabilities Act removed barriers for persons with disabilities to participate in all facets of American life,” said Commissioner Pam Stewart.

I am proud to support programs that help all Floridians succeed and lead the most independent lives possible.”

The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law in July 1990 by President George H. W. Bush.
