Major Baseball at Mims’ Holder Park saw Rockledge Little League fall to Merritt Island Little League, 10-0 in 4 innings.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Major Baseball at Mims’ Holder Park saw Rockledge Little League fall to Merritt Island Little League, 10-0 in 4 innings.

Merritt Island’s T. Goforth pitched the complete game, allowing 1 Rockledge hit while striking out 7 and allowing only 4 walks. T. Durham had the lone Rockledge hit.

In Junior Baseball, also at Holder Park, Rockledge Little League was pitted against Indian River City Little League in a game that would decide the Junior Baseball Champion for Florida District 22.

Rockledge’s A. Hall went 3-4 at the plate and Indian River City’s E. Sellers also went 3-4.

The game went into the 7th tied at 5 and Indian River City’s J. Smith hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the inning to score J. Hernandez for the 6-5 win.

With the win, Indian River City advances to the Florida Section 3 Junior Baseball Tournament on July 18th in Port St. John.
