Louisville’s Caroline Walter Transferring To Florida Tech For Tennis

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On Thursday, Florida Tech head women’s tennis coach Bill Macom announced that University of Louisville transfer Caroline Walter has been added to the Panther women’s team.

Not only does Walter boast an impressive tennis resume, she also has a proven track record in the classroom. The Louisville, Kentucky native was one of two Cardinals named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Team.

Walter spent one season with the Cardinals, playing in one fall tournament, the Miami Invitational, during her freshman campaign. Walter will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Panthers.

“Caroline is very quick around the court and hits a heavy ball. She should be competing for a starting singles and doubles position,” said Coach Macom.

A transfer from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, Caroline Walter played in one fall tournament during her freshman season with the Cardinals.

In high school, Walter was a four time letterwinner at Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville. At Sacred Heart, she played No. 1 singles all four years, winning two team state championships and earning All-State honors twice.
