Meet New Brevard Public Schools Superintendent During Meet & Greet Events July 28-29

Dr. Desmond Blackburn starts work this week
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools will host Meet and Greet Open Houses on July 28 and 29 for the public to speak with new superintendent Dr. Desmond K. Blackburn.
On Tuesday, July 28, an open house will be held at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High from 5 – 7 p.m. On Wednesday, July 29, an open house will be held at West Shore Jr./Sr. High from 5 – 7 p.m.
The School Board of Brevard Public Schools, in a 4-1 vote, selected Blackburn in June as their final candidate to lead the 73,000 student school district.
Blackburn officially began his tenure with Brevard Public Schools on July 20, and will be paid an annual salary of $210,000 with any future raises tied to performance.
