Palm Bay Chamber President Victoria Northrup Resigns To Lead Start-Up

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce has announced that Victoria Northrup, president & CEO, has resigned her position.
Northrup accepted the position as CEO of Aloha Financial Services (formerly Aloha Telephone), based in Melbourne. Her start date will be August 3 and responsibilities will include leading the company in sales and marketing.
The company was recently acquired by IV-L, Inc., a financial services company headquartered in San Diego, California and commenced business as a financial enterprise on January 1, 2015.
“We look forward to Ms. Northrup joining our team in Brevard County,” stated Aloha’s Board, “as we launch the company in a new direction combining telecommunications with financial services.”
Northrup’s extensive corporate background includes sales and marketing for start-up companies in the alternative fuel and electric vehicle markets, having worked for Bombardier Motor Corporation, Ford Motor Corporation, ZENN headquartered in Toronto, Canada and TH!NK North America, based in Norway.
“My experience leading the Palm Bay Chamber afforded me the opportunity to meet and interact with many of Brevard County’s leaders and I am excited to be able to introduce them to this new financial telecommunications program,” stated Northrup.
Northrup held seats on the Bayfront Redevelopment Board, the Community Development Advisory Board both in Palm Bay as well as the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast Marketing board. She also mentored for the IGNITE 360 program through weVENTURE, formerly the Women’s Business Center at Florida Tech and participated in the county’s Blue Ribbon Transportation Panel to investigate solutions to the road issues that affect Brevard.
Northrup’s background also included years in the marketing and advertising industries and served a one year term as president for the Space Coast Advertising Federation. She has earned numerous advertising awards through her work.
