BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Parks and Recreation Department and Palm Bay East Little League are evaluating the addition of a T-ball field at Knecht Park.

The area being considered for is currently set up for horseshoe pitch.

“Palm Bay Little League East plays on four fields at Knecht Park and the addition of a T-ball field would be a great asset to the league and the community,” said Fred Poppe, director of Parks and Recreation.

“Right now we are just evaluating the possibility and want to make sure we don’t displace anyone using the horseshoe pitch. But at the same time we don’t have any indication that the horseshoe pitch is being fully utilized.”

Palm Bay East Little League is committed to providing quality instruction in the fundamentals of baseball as well as creating a fun and safe environment for boys and girls ages 4 through 16.

Questions or concerns regarding the addition of a T-Ball field at Knecht Park can be directed to Fred Poppe, director of Parks and Recreation, 321-953-8912 or email Fred.Poppe@pbfl.org.
