Titusville Woman Charged In Multiple Stabbing of Estranged Husband

UPDATE: July 3, 2015 – 7 p.m. 

Jeanette Pauline Helsabeck, 43, of Titusville was charged with Aggravated Battery (Domestic Violence) and Tampering With Evidence in connection with the stabbing of Charles Helsabeck, 48, who was seriously injured and flown to a trauma unit.

According to Titusville Police Commander Todd Hutchinson, the estranged couple were arguing just after 12 noon on Friday when Jeanette stabbed Charles numerous times inside the residence.

Jeanette fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival, but was located on Hilldale Road in Titusville shortly after the incident.

According to Commander Hutchinson, TPD Detectives determined she was attempting to wash the clothing she had been wearing during the incident.

Jeanette was booked into Brevard County Jail on no bond.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A 48 year old man was stabbed multiple times during an altercation at the Titusville residence of his estranged wife, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

Titusville police officers responded to the report of the stabbing at 198 Olmstead Drive, unit 188, on Friday at 12:42 p.m.

The victim was transported by helicopter to the hospital, and a suspect is in custody, according to Matthews.
