BOB FREEMAN’S WEEKEND SURF REPORT

By  //  September 25, 2015

Waves are looking mostly unrideable this morning. Late-morning's lower tide could help make the small waves more rideable by then. Surfers seeking an early morning surf session may want to focus on Cocoa Beach's northernmost beaches for a longboardable wave.
Fun surf continues this Friday morning. Waves are running in the waist- to chest-high range with semi-clean conditions early. The bigger waves are occuring south of the Patrick Air Force Base with the better reefs producing excellent quality. Expect slightly smaller surf, but with cleaner conditions in the Cocoa Beach area.

FRIDAY: Fun surf continues this Friday morning. Waves are running in the waist- to chest-high range with semi-clean conditions early. The bigger waves are occuring south of the Patrick Air Force Base with the better reefs producing excellent quality. Expect slightly smaller surf, but with cleaner conditions in the Cocoa Beach area.

SATURDAY: Surf heights will drop some for Saturday, but surfing conditions will continue to be much better than average. Expect crowded lineups at all of Brevard’s surf spots as area hotels are alreading booking up with Surfers from across the state arriving for a fun weekend.

SUNDAY: I believe surf heights will increase back into the chest-high range for Sunday. Light onshore breezes will add a little bump to the wave faces and may help to break up some of the closeout lines.

Fun surf with good surface conditions will continue into next week.

Cocoa Beach ocean temperatures now average 78 degrees.
