City Of Palm Bay Fire and Rescue Crews Host Fundraiser For Muscular Dystrophy Association

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay Fire and Rescue crews, in partnership with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), will join more than 280,000 Fire Rescue crews nationwide to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) in September.

First up is the fourth annual Palm Bay Firefighter’s Ladder Climb event that will take place on Saturday September 19th from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Walmart on Palm Bay Road.

Each time a patron donates money for a MDA t-shirt, available for a suggested donation of $20 or more, a firefighter from the department will climb the 100-foot aerial ladder.

Following the Ladder Climb, the Palm Bay Fire Department will be participating in the “Fill the Boot” campaign from September 25th-27th. Fire and Rescue personnel will spend the weekend out on the streets to collect money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
