BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Business Recognition Committee (BRC) of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce presented its Business Champion of the Year Awards to four area companies at its 27th Annual Awards Ceremony on Sept. 18 at Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral.
More than 200 chamber partners, and their families and friends, regaled in the event’s theme – “Celebrating Success.”
Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Greg Weido of Primerica Financial Services and BRC Chair.
All nominees for the awards were recognized and representatives of the banquet’s major sponsors made presentations to the winners.

• Start Up Business Champion: Signature Events
• Small Business Champion: The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project
• Medium Business Champion: SPCA of Brevard
• Large Business Champion: Lockheed Martin

“It took a lot of hard work by several dedicated people to not only organize the awards ceremony, but to compile the nominations, evaluate the entries and make the difficult determination as to which companies would receive the honor of Business Champion of the Year,” said Greg Weido, BRC Chair.
“In light of the outstanding organizations that were nominated, choosing only one per category was not easy for our judges – they were all winners.”
This year’s Business Champion of the Year Awards are aligned with the Bright House Networks Regional Awards.
The four winners will have a chance to compete in their category in the Bright House Networks Regional Awards in March 2016.
