Crash At Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School Leaves 12-Year Old Girl With Broken Leg

A 12-year old Cocoa Beach High female student was struck by a vehicle in the school parking lot today at about 3:35 p.m., according to Cocoa Beach Police Major Scott Rosenfeld.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – A 12-year old Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High female student was struck by a vehicle in the school parking lot on Monday at about 3:35 p.m., according to Cocoa Beach Police Major Scott Rosenfeld.

“The student sustained a broken leg and was flown to an area hospital as a precaution,” said Maj. Rosenfeld in a release.

‘Witnesses reported that the student was running through the parking lot of the school, located at 1500 Minutemen Causeway, when she ran into the side of a vehicle driven by another student, 17, of Cape Canaveral.”

No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
