BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s volleyball team has two chances to score a home court victory on Saturday as it hosts a tri-match at the Titan Field House on the Melbourne Campus.
The Titans host nationally 17th-ranked and state seventh-ranked Santa Fe College (3-1) at 10 a.m. and South Florida State College (0-2) at 2 p.m.
Santa Fe, which swept Eastern Florida in three sets in Gainesville last week, plays South Florida at noon.
Admission is free.
Eastern Florida is 2-5 after dropping its home opener to Daytona State College in straight sets on Tuesday.
Category leaders for the Titans are sophomore Mariana Dal Pozzo, kills, 68; freshman Keishla Machado, assists, 111; freshman Megan Graefe, digs, 105; sophomores Juliana Torres and Lena Kaelberer, blocks, 26 each; Dal Pozzo, points, 79.
Beyond Saturday the Titans have three more home matches before hitting the road again. They entertain nationally 10th-ranked and state No. 1-ranked State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Webber International’s junior varsity at 6 p.m. Sept. 11.
They begin FCSAA Southern Conference play by hosting Indian River State College at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 in a game televised live on WEFS-TV and streamed live at www.efsctitans.com

“This is the time for us to come together, play well and take advantage of the support of our home fans,” said Eastern Florida head coach Andrea Rasmussen.
“Nothing comes easy at this stage of the season and it only gets more difficult. This is college volleyball and we have to be on our game if we expect to succeed. We’ll continue to work and we will get better.”
