EFSC Volleyball Secures Split At South Florida State

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s volleyball team split two matches on Saturday to wrap up a tournament at South Florida State College in Avon Park.

The Titans fell in three sets to Pasco-Hernando State College 21-25, 13-25, 16-25 but rebounded to defeat host South Florida State in five sets, 19-25, 25-19, 28-26, 23-25, 15-9.

Sophomore Mariana Dal Pozzo had 12 kills against Pasco-Hernando and 17 against South Florida State. Classmate Treasure Ingram had six and 12 respectively.

Eastern Florida is now 6-9 on the season.

Volleyball returns home to the Titan Field House on the Melbourne Campus to face perennial Southern Conference and national power Miami Dade at 6 p.m. Tuesday and travels to conference foes Palm Beach State on Thursday and Broward College on Friday.

The Titans play their four conference foes two times each to determine the top two finishers who advance to the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Tournament.
