FHP Troopers Impound Yellow Ford Mustang Suspected In Hit-and-Run Incident

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Troopers have impounded a yellow 2001 Ford Mustang with damage that is consistent with being involved in a crash, according to Sgt. Kim Montes, Florida Highway Patrol Public Affairs Officer.
Sgt. Montes said tips came in after viewers saw the story in the news and the vehicle was located near U.S. 1 in Cocoa on Sunday evening.
“Troopers will now process the vehicle for evidence and continue to investigate,” said Sgt. Montes in a release.
“The owner is the only person of interest at this time an troopers have not yet identified the driver of the Mustang.”
The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.

Florida Highway Patrol Seeks Yellow Mustang In Cocoa Hit-and-Run With Pedestrian
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking a hit-and-run driver after a pedestrian was struck at Clearlake Road and Highland Court Saturday at about 6:14 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a yellow Ford Mustang was traveling northbound on Clearlake Road as Shane Stockstill, 34, of Cocoa was crossing Clearlake Road, north of Highland Court.
The front of Mustang struck Stockstill and the Mustang then fled the scene. Stockstill was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
This crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
