Florida Tech Tennis Set To Open 2015-16 With Panther Invitational

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Following a long offseason, Florida Tech men’s and women’s tennis is ready to get back out on the courts and begin the 2015-16 campaign. The wait will only last one more day as both FIT teams kick off the fall season this weekend by hosting the Panther Invitational.
The Panther Invitational will begin Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET, with Saturday and Sunday’s action scheduled to commence at 8 a.m. The Panthers will play host to in-state opponents Eastern Florida State, Eckerd, Palm Beach Atlantic, Tampa and Webber International.
Following the Panther Invitational, both FIT teams will have three tournaments remaining in their fall seasons. The men and women will travel to Pensacola, Florida for the ITA South Regionals, set for Sept. 25-28.
The Panther men will then return home for the Suntree Slam in Melbourne on Oct. 9-11 at Suntree Country Club. The women, on the other hand, will make their way to Milledgeville, Georgia for the Georgia College Championships, also slated for Oct. 9-11.
Both teams will then wrap up their respective fall schedules at the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational. The invitational, hosted by Bethune-Cookman, will take place Oct. 30 – Nov. 1 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
