FHP SEEKS IDENTITY OF DRIVER

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST JOHN, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the intersection of US 1 and Fay Boulevard.

According to FHP, Kathy Keller, 54, of Cocoa is in serious condition after she was hit while riding her motorcycle by a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the pickup truck was traveling north on US 1, and while making a left turn on to Fay Boulevard, turned into the direct path of a Keller.

According to FHP, the pick up truck driver, who was described as a white male,  stopped to assist the motorcyclist and fled. The truck has damage on the right side from the crash and witnesses said it had existing damage on the driver’s side.

Keller was transported to Wuesthoff Medical Center in Rockledge in serious condition.
