‘Technovation’ Award Nominations Now Being Accepted In Five Categories

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Tech Council announced that the organization is now accepting nominations in five categories for its ‘Technovation’ Awards.

In addition to participating in the Florida TechXpo 2015, technology companies and individuals can submit nominations to be selected to receive a Medal of Merit, awarded by Congressman Bill Posey.

Winners are chosen in five technology categories. Finalists will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges and honored by their industry peers at an exciting kick-off reception and awards banquet held the evening before the exposition.

• Rising Star in Technology: Presented to a new company or one that has made the most significant progress in the past 18 months.
• Innovative Technology Product or Service: Presented to a company that has developed and/or introduced an innovative technology product in the past 18 months.
• Technology Cultivation: Presented to a non-profit, government agency or private company that supports technology companies by offering advice and assistance to aid in their growth and prosperity.
• Technology Executive of the Year: Presented to the technology executive whose leadership has made a positive impact in their industry.
• Lifetime Achievement in Technology: Presented to an individual whose impact, influence and work within the technology community has resulted in significant success of the organization(s) in which the individual has been associated, and who has also benefited the regional technology community as a whole.

The keynote presentation will be delivered by Jerry Ross, President of the National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando, Florida.

The NEC has become a national model for “economic development through small business development” and has coached and trained over 100,000 small business clients.
Ross will share some of the challenges and successes he has encountered, along with the strategies that have served to strengthen the local economy through supporting entrepreneurs and fostering small business growth.
