BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – I couldn’t have been prouder than I was to watch so many of our citizens line the “Escort” route to celebrate Casey coming home.

It was an emotional moment for our entire agency to see so many express their incredible support. Our members were deeply moved to watch the salutes, welcome home signs and flags.

I can tell you that your prayers and incredible gestures mean so much to Casey and our entire agency.

It was a very important day in the healing process for Casey and his family.

A moment in time that we were very confident would come, but not too long ago was simply an optimistic hope ensured by prayer during a fight for survival.

For those that know me, there are very few moments where I am speechless, but it was overwhelming. I watched children from every school and day care along the route waiving as Casey passed.

I watched businesses, Fire Stations and Police Departments standing and saluting, and I watched so many of our citizens standing and parked along the route smiling and expressing their faith and support.
