Cocoa Police Detectives Seek Identity of Suspected Jewel Thief Caught On Video

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Detectives are currently seeking the identity of a suspect caught on surveillance video at a local pawn shop stealing jewelry.

The crime occurred on Oct. 8 at around 11:15 a.m. at the Gold Coast Pawn Shop, located at 91 Forrest Avenue.

The suspect is seen on surveillance video walking around the store for approximately one hour before taking several gold and diamond bracelets valued at nearly $2,000. He is seen leaving the store through the south double doors.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a dark green buttoned shirt, white khaki shorts, white socks, black closed-toe shoes and a brown baseball hat with a “Seminoles” logo on the front.

Anyone with information that can help identify and/or locate the suspect in the video is asked to contact the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 in this case.
