BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA –  Cocoa Police Detectives, working with officers from the GAME OVER Task Force, arrested a 19-year old suspect wanted on a no-bond warrant for an armed robbery that occurred midday Friday.

Cameron Lewis is facing charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and grand theft in connection with the incident.

According to Cocoa Police Public Information Officer Yvonne Martinez, Lewis also made admissions to his involvement in an unrelated burglary.

“Detectives believe he was involved in several other residential burglaries that have occurred over the last several months and are continuing to investigate,” said Martinez in a release.

On Friday just after noon, Lewis and another man who wore a mask entered Pinkey’s Discount Beverage, located at 850 Dixon Boulevard.

Detectives say Lewis, who was armed with a handgun, threatened the clerk while the second suspect took all the money from the cash register. The pair fled the store with the cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets.

The clerk reported dodging a shot fired from Lewis’ handgun as the suspects fled the store.
