GFWC Viera Woman’s Club Hosts ‘Swing For Charity Golf Tournament’ October 24

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The GFWC Viera Woman’s Club will be hosting its second annual Swing for Charity Golf Tournament which will be held at the Duran Golf Club on Saturday, October 24.
Charities benefitting from the event include The Children’s Hunger Project, Canine Companions for Independence with emphasis on the Wounded Veterans, and the Hacienda Girls’ Ranch.
The cost is $80/person and $300/foursome and includes a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, a scramble, a coed tournament, golf & flighted awards, contests & prizes. Registration begins at 11 a.m.
Additional activities include a putting and chipping contest, a hole-in-one on every par 3, including $10,000 and a golf cart.
Also there is a Pre-Tournament Swing Around Par-Tee on Friday evening, October 23, at
5 p.m. for both golfers and non-golfers. Tickets are $30 and include dinner and dancing to live music, gift basket bidding, Share the wealth opportunities; and for a $20 donation participants will have an opportunity to win $1,000 in the helicopter ball drop.
Tickets for the ball drop may be purchased until October 22, and the winner need not be present.
