Sheriff’s Office Resolves Disturbance At Devereaux After Juveniles Walk Away From Facility

Located, returned 20 juveniles to facility

Early this afternoon, the Brevard County Sheriff's Office responded to the Devereaux School, located at 8000 Devereux Drive in unincorporated Melbourne, for the report of a disturbance.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Early this afternoon, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Devereaux School, located at 8000 Devereux Drive in unincorporated Melbourne, for the report of a disturbance.

“Deputies were able to quickly resolve the disturbance and staff reported several juveniles had walked away from the facility,” said Cpl. Dave Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

“Sheriff’s deputies were able to locate and return 20 juveniles to the facility. One juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center for a crime committed during the disturbance at the facility.”
