SUPER HERO: Brevard Public Schools Honor Southwest Middle School’s Carol Downs

ABOVE VIDEO: Carol Downs of Southwest Middle School in Palm Bay was recently honored by Brevard Public Schools as the October Super Hero of the Month.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Carol Downs of Southwest Middle School in Palm Bay was recently honored by Brevard Public Schools as the October Super Hero of the Month.
Downs volunteers with Daily Bread, which assists the homeless and helping them get back in the workforce. This includes building their resumes and general steps towards getting them back on their feet.
Downs joined the staff at Southwest Middle School this year, where she teaches seventh grade Career Wheel classes.
“Were real proud of Carol, she’s done a great job,” said Southwest Middle School Principal, Todd Scheuerer.
“She really is sincere in everything that she does for our students and for the community and were really lucky to have her.”
