VIDEO: Melbourne Police, BCSO Aviation Unit Combine To Nail Burglary Suspect

Chandler Vehicle PursuitOn Saturday, October 17th an alert homeowner noticed Mr. Chandler walking around his backyard. The homeowner fearing that a potential burglary was about to take place confronted Mr. Chandler. Chandler immediately fled the area in what turned out to be a stolen car. Melbourne Police Officers immediately responded and located the vehicle in the area of Parkway Dr. The vehicle was confirmed as stolen, and a pursuit was authorized. With the assistance of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Chandler was located and arrested without incident. This is just another example of the great teamwork shown by the Melbourne Police Department and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne police received an alert from a homeowner last Saturday when they noticed an individual later identified by police as Chase Colby Chandler, 26, walking around their backyard.

According to the Melbourne police, the homeowner, fearing that a potential burglary was about to take place, confronted the suspect, who immediately fled the area in what turned out to be a stolen car.

Melbourne Police Officers immediately responded and located the vehicle in the area of Parkway Drive and the vehicle was confirmed as stolen, according to police.

A pursuit was authorized, and with the assistance of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Chandler was located and arrested without incident, according to police.
