EFSC Titan Men Earn Third Seed In National Soccer Tournament

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s men’s soccer team earned the No. 3 seed in next week’s NJCAA Men’s Division I National Championship tournament and the top seed in Pool C.
Eastern Florida, 13-1-2 and making its second national tournament appearance in its three years as a program, shares Pool C with sixth-seeded Jefferson, Missouri (15-3) and 10th-seed Morton, Illinois (14-5-1).
Eastern Florida plays Morton at 5 p.m. Monday and Jefferson at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The semifinals are Friday and the championship game on Sunday.
The tournament’s top seed is No. 1 nationally ranked Louisburg College of North Carolina (20-1) which shared the Southeast District title with Eastern Florida after their title game was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Louisburg shares Pool A with Iowa Western (16-1-4) and Massasoit of Massachusetts (13-6).
Second-seeded Tyler, Texas (16-3) leads Pool B and is joined by Schoolcraft of Michigan (15-2-3) and ASA New York (8-6-3).
Fourth-seeded Pima Community College of Arizona (20-2-2) leads Pool D and is joined by Lewis & Clark of Illinois (17-3-1) and Hill of Texas (15-2-1).
The tournament will be played starting Monday at Patrick Henry College in Martinsville, Virginia.
