Manufacturers Association Names Space Coast Teacher Carolynn Gannon Educator of the Year

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Carolynn Gannon, a drafting teacher at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High, recently received the Educator of the Year Award during the Annual President’s Award Dinner, hosted by the Manufacturer’s Association of Central Florida.
The Manufacturers Association of Central Florida is a dynamic group of companies who share the vision of a business climate where both manufacturers and non-manufacturers can expand, prosper and bring value to the community.
The 2015 Awards of Excellence were awarded to individuals who are economic drivers for their communities.
Nominated by Manufacturer’s Association of Central Florida member and general manager of Knights Armament Company, Art Holke, Carolynn Gannon was chosen as educator of the year.
Gannon was selected for her dedication to her drafting courses, which introduce students to the use of simple and complex graphic tools used to communicate and understand ideas and concepts found in the areas of architecture, manufacturing, engineering, science and mathematics.
Gannon first began teaching in 1990 at Rockledge High and has taught the last seven years at Space Coast Jr./Sr.
