TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – The Florida Lottery announces that Laura Aviles, 39, of Palm Bay, claimed a $1 million prize in the $10,000,000 FLORIDA CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
Aviles chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $742,333.46.
She purchased her winning ticket from Sam’s Discount Beverage, located at 370 South Wickham Road in West Melbourne. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $25 game, $10,000,000 FLORIDA CASH, features more than 11 million winning tickets and more than $624 million in total cash prizes! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.88.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 67 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $632 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2014-15.
