Dr. Lauren Romeo of TEPAS Wound Care Awarded Undersea & Hyperbaric Certification

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Lauren Romeo, MD, MS, CWS, and TEPAS Wound Care Medical Director was recently awarded an Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society Certification, as a Medical Examiner of Divers (MED). 

This certification gives Dr. Romeo the ability to certify, reinstate, and exam commercial and sport divers prior to and after incidence of decompression sickness.

Board certified by the American Board of Preventative Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Practice, Romeo completed her Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biology and Liberal Arts from the University of Central Florida; her Master of Science in Hyperbaric Medicine and Doctor of Medicine studies at Saba University School of Medicine, Saba, Netherlands-Antilles.

As the medical director of both TEPAS Wound Care, and the Wuesthoff Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center, Dr. Romeo oversees wound care services for multiple Brevard County skilled nursing facilities while providing clinical leadership and education to TEPAS staff, working to integrate evidenced based practices for the highest quality and outcomes of wound care patients.
