BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – For the first time in the relatively brief history of Florida Tech’s men’s swimming program, the Panthers are ranked in the College Swimming Coaches Association of American (CSCAA)/TYR Division II Coaches Poll.

After receiving votes in earlier editions of the poll this season, the Panthers cracked the top-25, coming in at No. 24. FIT is one of five Sunshine State Conference members appearing in the poll, joining Nova Southeastern (4), Florida Southern (8), Tampa (11) and Saint Leo (13).

Defending NCAA Division II National Champions Queens (N.C.) garnered the top spot in the poll with 169 points.

FIT has seen a number of strong performances at the midway point of the season, leading to the team’s first appearance in the poll. The Panther men have set 29 NCAA B-Cut times on the year, while 11 school-records have fallen.

The Panther men return to action on Jan. 4, 2016 against NAIA opponent Oklahoma Baptist. Start time at the Panther Aquatic Center is set for 4 p.m. ET.
