Tonight the Viera Hawks (3-7) will host the Lake Nona Lions. Coach Terrence Parks and his Hawks hit the gym floor with a 2-4 mark this year at home. Viera will be looking for their first district win of the season (0-2).
The Hawks have not played since December 4, as they postponed Friday’s game so they could attend the State Football Final at the Citrus Bowl and cheer on their fall sports brothers. Viera’s three wins have come against Eau Gallie, Cocoa Beach and Island Coast.
The Hawks are led in scoring by senior, Darren Rodney (12.2 PPG) & junior, Alex Aebli (11.2 PPG). Esteban Alvarez “Hawks” the boards for Viera, averaging nearly seven rebounds per game.
Lake Nona enters play with a 2-6 record having beaten East River & St, Cloud to start the season.
