Alabama based Shipt, an on-demand grocery delivery service, today announced that it will bring grocery delivery to the Space Coast beginning Dec. 17 due to customer demand, according to the company.
“As we expand throughout Florida, we continue to hear from Floridians across the state who express a need for grocery delivery,” said Bill Smith, founder and CEO of Shipt.
Along the Space Coast, Shipt will deliver to Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, Merritt Island, Palm Bay, Rockledge and Titusville.

Customers use a seamlessly integrated smartphone app to select their groceries (including fresh fruits and vegetables or perishable items like meat and dairy) and identify any preferences (green bananas or slightly under-ripe tomatoes).
Customers can select from the full range of items available at local Publix stores and a Shipt Shopper is then deployed to the store to hand pick the items and deliver them to the customer’s home or office during a designated delivery window.
Deliveries can be scheduled for one-hour windows as soon as one hour after the order depending upon Shopper availability.
To support this expansion, the company will hire hundreds of Shoppers to select high-quality produce and communicate closely with the customer to ensure complete, accurate fulfillment of each order.
