5th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival Kicks Off Today At Port Canaveral Exploration Tower

Festival set Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Check out the 5th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival on Saturday, which will feature everything to do with the Sunshine State’s favorite citrus, the “Florida Key Lime.”

The Florida Key Lime Pie Company will be featuring an array of the company’s delicious Real Florida Key Lime Pie. Fare will include their ever popular “Key Lime Pie in a Cup,” “Key Lime Pie in a Coconut,” “Key Lime Pie by the Slice” and their “Restaurant Style Deep Dish” as a whole pie that festival goers can take home.

The Festival will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be on the grounds of the Exploration Tower at Port Canaveral.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children and kids 4 and under are free.

Be sure to enjoy the Festival’s Marketplace and Promenade which will feature an array of Florida artisans and vendors showcasing their goods with an emphasis on the Sunshine State.

This year’s festival will feature five different musical performers, including the House of Blues and Margaretville’s featured band Hypersona as well as the up and coming Diamond Dixie Band and Marc Dobson The One Man Band.

As always the festival brings you their ever popular street performers to include fire breathers, fire jugglers, contortionists, magicians, stilt walkers and more. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will be present with bomb squad and K-9 demonstrations. There will also be a live alligator exhibit. 

Be sure to watch Florida’s State Chef and Culinary Ambassador, Justin Timeniri, prepare dishes featuring “Fresh From Florida” ingredients including the ever-amazing Florida Key Lime in extraordinary and palate-tantalizing fare.

You have the opportunity to become part of the Festival’s several one-of-a-kind experiences such as the “Miss Florida Key Lime Pie” Contest, the The Best of Florida’s Bartender’s “Key Lime Pie Martini” and “Key Lime Pie Margarita” Challenge, the Key Lime Chilihead’s “Hot Sauce Competition”, as well as The Florida Key Lime Pie Company’s ever popular “Florida Key Lime Pie Eating Contest.”

There will be a fun and exciting Kids Zone for children of all ages to include a great selection of inflatable bounce houses, obstacle courses and a petting zoo with pony rides, which have a nominal fee.

Key Lime Pie prices range from 2.95 for the cup, 4.50 for the slice and 19.95 for the whole pie.
