BREVARD  COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s women’s basketball team rallied from a three-point halftime deficit to defeat Broward College 65-62 on Tuesday in Davie.

Eastern Florida, which trailed 31-28 at the break, improved to 10-7 overall and 3-0 in the FCSAA Southern Conference.

Broward dropped to 10-5 and 2-1.

Sophomore Paola Vasquez led defending conference champion Eastern Florida with 19 points. Freshman Trudy Walker contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds while sophomore Nene Johnson scored 10 points and recorded seven assists.

Next up for the Titans is a 2 p.m. Saturday game against conference foe Palm Beach State at the Titan Field House on the Melbourne Campus.

Admission is free.

Palm Beach was 2-0 heading into Tuesday’s home game against Miami Dade College.
