Louis Sugar, 80, of Sebastian was killed Tuesday at about 4:30 p.m. in a vehicle crash on State Road A1A just south of Long Point Road in Cape Canaveral.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Louis Sugar, 80, of Sebastian was killed Tuesday at about 4:30 p.m. in a vehicle crash on State Road A1A just south of Long Point Road in Cape Canaveral.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Sugar was traveling southbound on State Road A1A in a 2006 Honda CRV, south of Long Point Road, and for an unknown reason left the roadway onto the west grass shoulder.

The vehicle collided with a tree, causing the vehicle to rotate and overturn onto its driver side.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Sugar, who was wearing a seatbelt, died on scene and the crash remains under investigation.
