Melbourne Police: Rockledge Woman Arrested For DUI Had Four Children In Vehicle

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police officers arrested a Rockledge woman for DUI who also had children in the vehicle, ages 2, 3, 14 and 16.
According to Melbourne Police Lt. Tim Turner, a concerned citizen called the Melbourne Police Department Saturday night at 11:29 p.m. to report a reckless driver operating her vehicle without headlights, and weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was stopped by Melbourne officers in the area of Lake Washington and U.S. 1.
According to Lt. Turner, Jacquelyn Nichole Tadrous, 33, appeared to be under the influence, had open containers of alcohol in the vehicle and was driving the vehicle with a suspended license and on probation for a previous DUI arrest and conviction from July of 2015.
Tadrous was charged with DUI while accompanied by a minor, Child Neglect, Driving on a suspended license and Violation of Probation.
