NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are expected from late morning to early afternoon on Friday as a cold front moves through central Florida.

The latest forecast from the NWS Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has the area under a “marginal” risk for severe weather, which means a few thunderstorms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts.

Remain “weather aware” on Friday.
