Palm Bay Police Arrest Suspect After Alleged Sexual Battery, Faces Three Charges

Suspect charged with Sexual Battery, False Imprisonment and Battery

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – On Tuesday, the Palm Bay Police Department received a complaint from a victim alleging she was sexually battered and held against her will at a home in Southeast Palm Bay, according to Palm Bay Police.
The Special Victims Unit investigated the allegations and developed probable cause for the arrest of 20 year-old Ludeson Victor Jean Baptiste.
According to spokeswoman Karyn Barber of the Palm Bay Department, the SWAT Team executed a search warrant at the incident location where investigators arrested Baptiste and collected multiple items of evidence related to this case.
Baptiste has been charged with Sexual Battery, False Imprisonment and Battery.
At this time he is being held at the Brevard County jail.
The Palm Bay Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is continuing their investigation to determine if there are any other victims.
“Our agency will not rest until we have done everything in our powers to ensure the safety of our citizens,” stated SVU Lieutenant Mario Augello.
“We have taken a very bad individual into custody; our focus now goes to ensuring that we do everything possible to help our victim recover from this traumatic event.”
The Palm Bay Police Department is asking anyone with information on this case or other possible incidents involving the suspect to contact the Special Victims Unit.
