BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Downtown Melbourne is growing and there is no greater example of that than Certified General Contractors (CGC) deciding to make the downtown district their home.

Having moved into the first floor of what was commonly known as the Morgan & Barbary building located at 730 E. Strawbridge Avenue, the CGC move is representative of a larger push by Melbourne Main Street and the City of Melbourne to create a 24/7 economy in an effort to revitalize the historic district to create a Live, Work, Play atmosphere.

CGC now adds 26 new employees to the downtown community and will host a private ribbon cutting party on Thursday, January 21 at 5 p.m.

Featuring live entertainment, food from Matt’s Casbah, and beer from Hell ‘n Blazes as well as cigars from Executive Cigar, the ceremony is representative of their investment in the Downtown district and the importance of supporting the small businesses in this area.

CGC sees the move to Downtown as key for the growth of their company.

“Clients and employees alike are impressed with the ability to walk to a large number of restaurants, bars, and stores,” said Adam Broadway, President/CEO of CGC.

“As we continue to expand and hire new employees, our new location in addition to our culture, reputation, and benefits, was the last piece to the puzzle in hiring/retaining the best talent in the area.”

Founded in 1992, Certified General Contractors, Inc. is recognized as one of East and Central Florida’s premier construction and general contracting firms, having completed over 500 successful projects across the Southeast.
