“We never stopped loving each other,” John Stamos told People magazine.

“That magic you saw? It’s still there because it never stopped from the day that we ended the show.”

Like the original series, the show is set in San Francisco and in the same house.

The plot will focus on the recently widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure), who is now a veterinarian and mother of three sons.

She enlists the help of her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and her best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber)—who is now a mother to a teenage girl named Ramona (Soni Nicole Bringas)—to move in and help her raise her boys after her husband, Tommy, died.

“It feels like a real family,” added series creator Jeff Franklin.

Netflix initially ordered 13 shows with the possibility of more to come, pending the success of the shows.
