BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Part One Tribe will perform before the legendary Original Wailers and Third World on Sunday, February 28 at the Port Canaveral Seafood and Music Festival.
“Playing a festival like this with bands like Dirty Heads, The Supervillains, The Original Wailers and Third World is always something to look forward to,” said Part One Tribe singer and guitarist Rob Defilippo.

Florida’s Space Coast is known for it’s innovation and as a hot-bed of talent and creativity.
Part One Tribe was first formed in 1995 by Defilippo.
“We were just a group of high-school friends in Cape Cod, Massachusetts,” said Difilippo.
As with many popular groups, Part One Tribe got an important break when an underground reggae-rock website featured the band, allowing it to gain much wider attention creating a broader fan base.

After this launch, Part One Tribe began a seven year rigorous touring schedule, traveling across 36 U.S states, the Bahamas and Canada, while living out of their van.
During that time they created new musical album compliations entitled “East Coast Roots,” “The General Consensus,” “For What It’s Worth,” “Let’s Get Down,” “Intensify” and “Obvious As Ever.”
“During that time we were able to sell over 60,000 copies of our albums.”
2015 marked Part One Tribe’s 20-year anniversary and although the band’s lineup has changed over the year’s, the desire for growth continues through Defillippo’s enthusiasm and passion for music.

Part One Tribe today consists of Defilippo (vocals and guitar), Kevin Stricker (drums) and Evan Bernard (bass).
“Our music today is mostly influenced by Led Zeppelin,Ritchie Valens, Bob Marley, Sizzla and Pearl Jam,” said Difilippo.
In 2014, Part One Tribe opened for the legendary reggae band Steel Pulse.
“We had the privilege of meeting Sidney Mills and followed up with recording with him in 2015,”said Difilippo.
Part One Tribe continues to seek growth, explore it’s creative roots and just released a new single “Do It Right,” with Sidney Mills on keyboards.

In addition to Lights Out Project, Central Florida area bands playing at the fest include General Eyes, Coastal Breed, Part One Tribe, The Supervillains, Kash’d Out, Heritage Band, Charee White, Cotta, Janna Ivey, Funkle Fester.

The team from Richard Cockerel’s What’s the Catch will present Key West grilled grouper, island shrimp and pan-seared ahi tuna, among others.
Lobster lovers should make a beeline for Cousins Maine Lobster, where Kevin Townsend’s crew will serve Maine and Connecticut lobster rolls, Cousins lobster tacos, lobster quesadilla, Maine lobster tail and lobster bisque.
Hammerheads from Tampa will offer seafood jambalaya, sautéed scallops, grouper fingers, coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi, fried oyster, and for the guest who wants everything, a seafood platter.
