Agents with the Cocoa Police Special Investigations Unit arrested seven suspects Friday in connection with an ongoing drug investigation aimed at a local housing complex.
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Agents with the Cocoa Police Special Investigations Unit arrested seven suspects Friday in connection with an ongoing drug investigation aimed at a local housing complex.
The suspects were involved in the illegal sale of everything from marijuana to methamphetamine and oxycodone.
The housing complex at 900 Friday Road is a former hotel and is now known as the Cocoa Affordable Living Center. After receiving complaints about illegal drug activity and requests for police intervention, an undercover operation began and has been ongoing for several weeks.
On Friday agents had enough probable cause to arrest seven suspects in the complex. In addition to the criminal charges they also face eviction.

“We have zero tolerance when it comes to this type of activity in our city,” said Chief Mike Cantaloupe.
“We will always respond when citizens have concerns and we encourage people to come forward if they see this type of illegal activity or any other type of criminal or suspicious activity.”
All of the suspects were taken into custody without incident. Agents seized approximately $300 in cash, drugs and paraphernalia and the investigation is ongoing.
The suspects and charges are as follows:

Martinez, 53; Trafficking Oxycodone, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia • Melissa Ann Wilson, 27; Sale of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia • Kennedy Harris, Jr., 31; Sale of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine • Christine Marie Gray, 30; Sale of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine • Leonel Gonzalez-Casillas, 26; Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia • Brandon J. Mechall, 22; Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia • Kennedy Harris Jr., 22; Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Violation of Probation.
